Come paint with us in beautiful South Bay locations while learning from inspiring artists and working alongside a small, welcoming community.

All levels welcome.

What is The Seeing Practice?

The Seeing Practice is an opportunity to slow down, look closely, and paint from life.

Each session takes place in a different South Bay setting, inviting you to explore landscape, light, color, composition, and mark-making through direct observation.

You'll receive guidance from the instructor while having the freedom to work at your own pace.

It's less about creating the perfect painting and more about developing your eye through practice.

Who is it for?

The Seeing Practice welcomes both experienced artists and people who are newer to painting outdoors.

You don't need to have a particular style or level of experience. Come ready to observe, experiment, and learn.

These sessions are for artists in process—showing up to look more closely and paint more often. Work alongside others in a supportive setting, with live guidance to help refine your approach.

We’re opening a limited opportunity within our ongoing instructed plein air sessions for a small number of experience seekers who want to step into outdoor painting with low-pressure and an inspiring environment.

No prior experience required.
